Songs to soothe you after an anxiety attack · spring 2019 playlist

Allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is perfectly acceptable, and something we should do more often. Hopefully this playlist will help you relax when you're not quite ready to face the world.

So, you’ve had an anxiety attack. That’s fine. Life is intense sometimes and it is very common to feel overwhelmed. Maybe you’re covered in tears, or perhaps you feared you would never breathe properly again. What matters its the anxiety attack is over.

The songs below aren’t necessarily happy, pick-me-up motivators. But they’re calming, and many are softly melodic. From personal experience, calming songs work well after an anxiety attack. I don’t want to listen to upbeat songs because, quite frankly, anxiety attacks can be exhausting. It’s important to take time to recover from them, and you should not feel any pressure to just bounce back up again and carry on as if nothing happened.

Allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is perfectly acceptable, and something we should do more often. Hopefully this playlist will help you relax when you’re not quite ready to face the world.
